Software Validation Engineer - FW & BIOS utilities

Location: Shanghai

Responsibility:

Responsible for Server FW & BIOS utilities validation and test automation, responsibilities will include but not limit to:

- Develop and execute a validation plan/test cases for a server FW/BIOS utilities together with domain owners, lead test execution, reporting and communication with stakeholders.

- Develop test automation framework, tools/scripts of all platforms, drive test automation and continuous integration thus improve people’s working efficiency.

- Reproduce, investigate and follow up on defects found during validation.  Drive sightings from open to closure

- Debug the issue across the platforms through the solid debug skill and experiment being setup, and driver the issue for the closure.

- Ensure process compliance and proactively improve integration workflows, best practices and tools

Qualification:

Candidate should possess a Master or a PHD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering, with intern/projects experience on Software development or validation. The qualifications include:

-   Knowledge of IA architecture, FW/BIOS, and operating systems; knowledge of software development and validation, process and methodology;

-   Good experience on test automation development;

-   Good experience in Python/C/C++ development on Linux and/or Windows platforms;

-   Good communication in oral and written English;

-   Strong analytical, trouble shooting, and creative problem solving skills;

-   Good sense of responsibility, flexibility and teamwork;

-   Experience on BIOS or Firmware development/Validation is a plus.
