The System Engineer (SE) is an expert in VMware technologies, and can recognize opportunities for the technology in customer accounts, perform technical presentations of VMware technology and solutions, and map this back to the benefits. The SE will perform and support tasks such as technical sales calls, presentations, proof-of concepts, proposals capacity planning and technical ROI models. The SE will assist the customer to understand VMware technology, its impact on their business and the benefits that can be realized. The SE Trainee will go thru relevant training upon joining the company. The training content ranges from VMware technology, products to software skills, including classroom and on-the-job training.

· Spokesperson for VMware Enterprise products in general
· Marketing and trade shows
· Liaison with Product Management (VMware and third-party)
· Present VMware’s technical value proposition to customers and partnersEnsure partners use of POC methodology
· Support VMware and partner seminars and industry trade shows
· Thirst for knowledge
· Interest in high-tech & willingness to learn about all relevant aspects of technology
· Confidence and willingness to stretch beyond current skills and capabilities.
· Pre-sales experience is not required, but must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and a customer-facing environment
· Candidates must possess exceptional organizational and planning skills and have the innate ability to multitask
· Ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required. Excellent English skills are preferred
· Bachelor or master’s degree required - Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or equivalent degree preferred
· Direct VMware, Systems Engineering or IT experience a plus
